Walk for Farm Animals

Date: Sep 15, 2012 at 8:30am to 3:00pm
Farm Sanctuary, the largest rescued farm animal shelter in the U.S., is fundraising by holding a Walk for Farm Animals! This amazing non-profit not only rescues and nurses abused farm animals back to health, but also does outreach and advocacy to educate others on farm animal abuse and to fight for more protective legislation. After volunteering at their southern Californian shelter, I fell in love with the animals there (in particular a goat named Maria) as well as the dedicated workers who have made it their goal to end unnecessary abuses in our factory farm system. I'm so happy to share this organization with other brothers and glad we can make a difference here in DC. We will be volunteers at the event, so prepare for an early morning and let's get ready to help farm animals everywhere!
