Every year the American University Jewish Student Association puts on a Holocaust Remembrance Week that features a variety of commemorative speakers and events, as well as a 24-hour name reading. The Holocaust affected all types of people, not just Jews. Millions of Catholics, a large majority group, along with many smaller minority groups lost their lives during the Holocaust attempting to protect their Jewish bretheren, standing up for what they knew to be right. This year the 24 hour-name reading will begin at 5:30 PM on Sunday, April 15 and will run until 5:30 PM on Monday, April 16. Reading time slots are each an hour long. If you are interested in participating in 24 hour name reading, please go to the following google document below and sign up for an hour time slot. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As8oTD9_IoS2dE1zR3NMR0RRMFpXSVBLYll3b3c0MGc
