Pitch in at ECO City Farm!

Date: Apr 21, 2012 at 8:15am to 1:30pm
Come join a local farm for a day of gardening, light construction, and other miscellaneous farm duties! And really, come to learn what a sustainable, community-focused farm looks like. ECO City Farm, located in Maryland, is a non-profit focused on becoming a model for growing nutritious food, using environmentally-friendly farming techniques, and enhancing food security. You can read more at their website: (http://www.ecoffshoots.org/) Details: We'll be leaving from campus at 8:15am, arriving to the farm by 9am. After a day full of work (although I've been assured that we won't be working too hard the entire time), we'll leave at 1pm, arriving back to campus probably by 1:30ish. The hours include travel time. Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and keep in mind that you might get dirty. Woo! **Pledges: This project does conflict with our Pledge Fellowship, meaning that we may either miss it or arrive late. I'll be working out details with Val.**** http://www.ecoffshoots.org/ www.ecoffshoots.org
