The mission of many youth empowerment organizations in the DMV focus largely on the role of motivation and inspiring a belief in a child's natural ability to succeed despite their circumstances. Join us and use your artistic (or not artistic) ability to paint a canvas or write a note/card to a local DC youth! The canvasses and letters will be going to students at LAYC, members of the DC Reads program who will be coming to campus, and local DCPS students who will be visiting campus in the coming two weeks. In other words, as many cards, notes, pictures, canvasses as possible would help us meet our goal of every student getting a note.
