I am fundraising for a program called Transformed, developed by Amaanah Refugee Services, that helps refugee single-mothers transition into life in the US and become self-sufficient. Houston is currently taking in the most refugees in the US and considering the global refugee crisis, Transformed is crucial and extremely beneficial to the refugee resettlement process. I have been fortunate enough to meet the wonderful and inspirational mothers of this program along with their adorable children who hail from a range of war-torn countries.
