A Wider Circle: Warehouse Support

Date: Mar 19, 2017 at 1:00pm to 4:00pm
A Wider Circle provides furniture, clothing and job training to low-income families in the D.C. area. Activities include stocking toys and housewares in order to help families access the materials they need. AWC asks that volunteers dress ready to work: shorts that aren't too short or tight, t-shirts with sleeves (shoulders covered), clothing without holes, no thin leggings or baggy sweatpants, and if there are any messages on shirts, they should be family friendly. Also, all volunteers must wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes (sneakers are fine). Travel: By car it will take 20 minutes. If taking the metro, the closest stop (Forest Glen - the other end of the red line) is about a 15-minute walk from the center NOTE: Transportation time is not included.
