For the newer brothers: KEEN's mission is to provide a range of one-to-one recreational activities for children and young adults with disabilities in a non-competitive environment, which encourages the fulfillment of individual goals. KEEN seeks to develop each athlete's self-esteem and confidence, as well as recreational skills and talents, and to increase each athlete's ability to participate in a broader range of recreational activities and environments. With KEEN Soccer, KEEN's youngest athletes in DC, MD, and VA come together to working on ball handling and team playing skills under the direction of soccer coaches from United for D.C./United Soccer Foundation. Athletes are assisted by and enjoy frienships with individual volunteer coaches.
