This spoken-word competition features performances of over 1,300 elementary and middle school students from 41 DCPS and charter schools preforming their original works of poetry. Volunteer roles include setup, registration, ushers, etc. 45 minutes of transportation is included each way. The actual event will be from 5-8. I encourage you to stay for all the student performances. However, because the actual help will be between 4:30-5:45, this will only count for 3 service hours.
