City Blossoms provides bilingual, free, and affordable after-school, in-school, and summer programming to predominantly Latino and African-American youth ranging from ages two through teens. Currently City Blossoms is working at 13 sites in Washington DC, including 10 gardens on educational campuses and two Community Green Spaces. This event will be preparing the garden at West Elementary for the winter. Volunteers will be trimming perennials, pulling out annuals, and spreading mulch. A hour of travel time is included on both ends. The actual volunteering will be from 10-1. Please shoot a quick email to Hillary at info@cityblossoms.org to let her know that you are attending. Note: This project serves as your DYSD credit.
