National Christmas Tree Lighting

Date: Dec 1, 2016 at 10:00am to 7:00pm
"The National Park Service is recruiting volunteers to help with the 2016 National Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 1, 2016. This longstanding tradition, on the Ellipse just south of the White House, includes nationally known performers, an address by the President, and the lighting of the National Christmas Tree. Volunteers are mainly needed to help with line management, serve as ushers, provide directions, scan tickets, and assist with crowd control. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. until the end of the show, typically ~7:00 p.m. This event occurs 'rain or shine'! You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this event. Each individual must complete a separate form. Please remember this form is an application to volunteer, and there is no guarantee that you will be selected. If selected, you will hear back from us by email. You will also need to attend one mandatory training. Due to high interest, we will close the form once we have met our volunteer needs."
