Rushee Interviews

Date: Sep 19, 2016 at 9:00am to 10:00pm
Sign up for an interview time! Please arrive to the McDowell Conference room at least 10 minutes before your applicant's interview! If the room is locked, you may have to get the key from the front desk. We have the room reserved! The night before the applicant's interview you will receive a suggestive question sheet and a Google scoring form in an email from Bobby. Use the question sheet to initiate conversation and get to know the applicant! Feel free to switch it up, interviews should be casual, fun and engaging! If you all need a caffeine fix and want to go to Starbucks, or you want to sit on the Quad because it’s a nice day, please feel free. Make sure at least one interviewer has a notepad to record your applicant’s answers as you feel necessary. You will not submit your notes, they’re just a good reference for scoring afterwards. After the interview, you will score your applicant on their (1) interest/enthusiasm in APO, (2) leadership, (3) service, (4) diversity/individuality, and (5) time commitment. It’s not so much about the questions you ask, but the quality of the conversation your having! Get to know them. Ask them about a time they’ve had to lead, or a crazy fun fact or hidden talent they have! Most importantly, be you! Tell them why you joined APO, what your favorite service project is, and why you LFS every single day (you better believe LFS is a verb)! Don’t forget to fill out the scoring form immediately following your interview! Have fun and go get ‘em!
