Right to Party! Event

Date: Apr 6, 2016 at 10:00am to 6:00pm
BEFORE YOU SIGN UP ON APO: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14xj5bzE9kKiYqwlPePxYz0SxSnQOujj3CpD7-W_8pwg/edit#gid=0 First, volunteers. Please find the link to our volunteer sign-up page at this link. Here we ask you commit your five volunteers to specific times. The latest a volunteer can be or the earliest they can leave is 15-30 minutes if they have a class schedule conflict -- otherwise, please have somebody else volunteer. A note for volunteers: Wear comfortable shoes and clothing! Some duties include, but are not limited to, working games, selling food, and working other activities. Volunteers should wear their organizations t-shirt or letters. We also suggest sunscreen, hats, and water. Some things to know: 1. We are all representing AU! Be kind, respectful, and enthusiastic. This will make the whole event even better. 2. Be cognizant of the fact that this event is to bring awareness to the issue of sexual assault. There may be survivors who attend and it is up to us to make sure everyone is comfortable, safe, and happy. 3. With all that being said, if any volunteers are approached and asked about sexual assault, please seek immediate help from a trained PEERS student who will be wearing blue. In addition, if volunteers are triggered at the event, please know we are here for you. If anyone finds themselves needing to leave or seek assistance, please do so. NVRDC: We are supporting NVRDC (Network for Victim Recovery of DC). NVRDC empowers victims of all crimes to achieve survivor defined justice. A truly great organization, which you can read more about here. We can’t wait to see you at Right To Party: A Carnival for Consent for a day of justice, fun, and community. With your help, we believe it can be amazing. Thanks, Your friends at ZBT
