Help Family Equality Council give tours of the National Zoo |
| Date: Mar 27, 2016 at 9:00am to 1:00pm | |
Family Equality Council is looking for volunteers to help give tours of the National Smithsonian Zoo to LGBTQ families. Volunteers should educate themselves on the history of the Zoo, the current exhibits, and be able to adequately navigate the park. Volunteers are welcome to give tours in pairs, if they so wish. Be advised that children will be partaking in the tour so try to make it fun! Family Equality Council is a national nonprofit that connects, supports, and represents the three million parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer in this country and their six million children. The organization is a community of parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren that reaches across this country. For 30 years Family Equality Council has raised their children and raised their voices toward fairness for all families.
