Easter Monday: A Celebration of African American Families

Date: Mar 28, 2016 at 8:45am to 2:45pm
Easter Monday is a perfect day for service! Come help families have fun at this Easter egg hunt at the National Zoo! Volunteers are needed to help manage the Zoo's Easter Egg Hunt for Easter Monday: A Washington Family Tradition on Monday, March 28. The Egg Hunt is one of the most popular parts of Easter Monday. Tasks involve placing eggs at the hunt scene, helping children hunt and then replacing eggs as needed. Special Qualifications: Volunteers need to be friendly, welcoming, and comfortable assisting children and families as they hunt for eggs. Time Commitment: We need coverage at the morning shift from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and afternoon shift from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. You may sign up for one or both shifts. You must first sign up/apply, and receive an email confirmation, before signing up here! This is the link to apply: http://nationalzoo.vsyslive.com/pages/app:EASTERMONDAY2016 (It's a super easy application don't worry) Time includes 45 minute public transportation time to the Zoo from AU, but if you can get a ride, it's only about a 10 minute drive! The first shift is actually 8:45-12:45 (so sign up for shift 1 and 2) The second shift is actually 10:45-2:45 (so sign up for 2 and 3) If you do both, you get 6 hours because of the overlap.
