Washington Parks & People’s goal is to make parks across under-served parts of Washington into safe, healthy, year-round centers of environment, education, economic investment, workforce development, agriculture, arts, culture, and community as they were meant to be-- vibrant village greens for all. Volunteers will help us to reach our objectives by joining our GreenCorps, which is Parks & People community greening program. As a volunteer, you will support these efforts by installing plastic on the hoop houses. To get to the location, you have to take the red line to Metro Center and transfer to the orange line heading toward New Carollton. You will get off at Minnesota Avenue and it's a short walk from the station. Your point of contact will be Behnam Mehrabkani and the phone number is (202) 587-5076 if you have any difficulty getting there. Travel time is included, so you should all be leaving by 9 am to ensure you get there on time.
