DYSD: Light the Night with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of the Maryland Chapter

Date: Nov 7, 2015 at 12:45pm to 9:30pm
Alumna Miriam Wolf needs some help with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk. The Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their funding of research to find blood cancer cures.Coming together for a common goal, friends, families and co-workers form fundraising walk teams. Millions of consumers also help by donating at retail outlets. Culminating in inspirational and memorable evening walks every fall, participants in nearly 200 communities across North America join together carrying illuminated lanterns to take steps to end cancer. Volunteer duties involve working with kids at the kid zone tent, handing out food, working at the bone marrow speed swabbing station, greeting volunteers, and cleaning up after the event. The project is in Frederick, MD and it takes about an hour to get their via car. The actual project is from 2pm to 8/8:30pm. I know it is a long drive, but we can jam out in my car and will really be helping Miriam and LLS out! Right now, the project is capped at 5 people because that is all I can fit in my car. If you have another car and would like to drive, let me know and I will open it up to more people!
