James Foley was murdered by ISIS in Syria on August 19th 2014. His life challenges us all to love and forgive one another, and to make this world a better place. In honor of James's birthday, run a 5K anywhere in the world to raise money for the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation http://www.jamesfoleyfoundation.org/ Register ($25) and receive a free t-shirt (while supplies last)! http://www.foleyfoundation5k.org/announcing-the-virtual-foley-foundation-5k/ Run anywhere and with anyone, and post a picture to social media with #IRunForJim and #DCRunsForJim to show your support for this important cause. APO is making a team to run the virtual 5k together! I'm putting the time at 11am on the 17th, but comment if another time works better for you. It's ultimately up to the group that wants to run! If you run on your own - you will just receive a fundraising point. If you run with the group - you will receive a fundraising point AND a fellowship hour. Comment below with your choice! I need a receipt in order for you to receive a fundraising point, and I need a picture of your social media post from your run - with your tshirt - for you to receive a fellowship hour. Both should be sent to eb9185a@student.american.edu.
