This Saturday the Ocean Conservancy is hosting their annual International Coastal Cleanup day. The location for our area is Anacostia Park! Essentially you'll come out and walk along side the Anacostia river and pick up trash; a super easy way to help our envirnoment in addition to get those nation hours! The event runs from 9am-1pm, but you're welcome to come out for any amount of time, just let me know so I can give you credit! There will be a free shuttle provided by the conservancy to the cleanup site from the Potomac Ave. Metro stop. In addition there is an app you can download that will track your steps, how much trash has been collected and what was found! If that wasn't enough they will be providing free T-Shirts!! Feel free to text me since I know I am posting this hella late >.< PS added incentive: I can also drive us there if we can agree on a time! LFS
