First come, first serve! We are in need of volunteers to assist with the State Arrival of Pope Francis on Wednesday September 23rd, 2015. Volunteers are needed from 4:00AM - 9:00AM Volunteers will be needed to help with scanning tickets, crowd management and roving to assist visitors in the area. You should be comfortable working with large crowds and being outside for several hours. This opportunity also requires a good amount of standing and walking. You may be required to wear a vest or other clothing identifying you as a National Park Service volunteer. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Consider bringing a small flashlight with you. This volunteer opportunity is not suitable for children under the age of 16. You will need to arrive at 4:00 a.m. and be prepared to stay until 9:00 a.m. There may be a possibility to actually attend the State Arrival ceremony as well, but we make no promises.
