DESCRIPTION Kite Activity Tents are open throughout the day and become a very popular spot for kite participants and Mall tourists alike! In signing up for this shift, you will be placed at one of the following: Kite Making, National Aquarium's Wind Socks, Kite Sales, or the Kite Doctor. These station will have constant action with little hands reaching for arts and crafts supplies in some cases, sad faces due to unfortunate kite mishaps in others, or people who need assistance learning how to put together their newly purchased kite. We need YOU to help us deal with all! Responsibilities include: be available for the duration of your call time help children and the public complete hands-on activities throughout the day work with kite makers to assist children in making and decorating a kite aide the Kite Doctor when broken kites are brought in for repairs assist with kite sales help manage crowd control when necessary pack up supplies and help with general clean-up and the end of the shift Uniform jeans, volunteer t-shirt as outermost-wear of clothing (check the weather and come prepared) no open-toed shoes sunglasses okay, no hats please Beverages will be provided for all.
