Free Minds works to empower incarcerated youth through the transformative power of reading and writing. Our members are often sent off to federal prisons across the country, where they are isolated from their families and friends. They send us poems about their experiences, their emotions, and their hopes for the future. Write Night provides an invaluable connection to the outside world and gives them a chance to express themselves with a caring community—that’s us!
