In October, Kirk Acevedo will walk from Rangoon to Mandalay in Burma (450 miles) in order to raise $26,220 to send a Burmese refugee to college. To do this, Kirk started Scholarships for Burma, a non-profit project of the Human Rights Action Center. All donations go directly to the refugee he's sending to college; no funds go to support his walk. Go to the website for more information. Donate 10 dollars and email Sabbie after you do so!
