The Office of Sustainability is hosting the second annual Sustainability Service Day as part of Earth Month 2014 and Campus Beautification Day. We will be working with the District Department of the Environment (DDOE) to remove invasive species, including bamboo and english ivy, from a public park adjacent to AU's campus. What to Wear: Long pants, sturdy boots or sneakers, and no sandals. What to Bring: Please bring a water bottle. Tools and gloves will be provided. Bring your own tools and gloves, if you have them. Lunch: At noon we will return to campus to enjoy a free BBQ lunch. Vegetarian options will be provided. If you have an 11:45 class, it's okay--also indicate this in the comments.
