Compass House was founded in 1972 as a homeless shelter, along with the Emergency Shelter, Compass House operates a Resource Center, and a Rapid Re-Housing Program. Their mission is to provide runaway, homeless and street youth with safe shelter and services, through a voluntary and mutually agreed-upon process, in an environment that supports dignity, respect and self-reliance. Our group service project will be making birthday cards for the youth in the Compass House shelter. We will have cardstock and construction paper with markers and art supplies to decorate the cards for the youth to celebrate their birthdays.
