*MORE INFO AND SHIFTS TBA 1. Recruit – Your main role as sponsors will be to recruit, recruit, and recruit! Encourage and educate prospects the importance of blood and encourage donations. Schedule donors on a timely basis filling in much appointments as possible for each blood drive. You can recruit by asking face to face, through word of mouth, e-mail and social media. 2. Marketing – You will be provided with e-posters and paper flyers for each blood drive. It will be up to APO in finding best target areas to promote the drive by posting on bulletin boards and on social media. Special marketing materials can be requested. You can create your own posters or “themes” for certain drives such as Holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentines. 3. Volunteers – On the day of the drive, we need volunteers to help with operations. Volunteers can help with the setup/takedown, registering donors and providing snacks at canteen. Additional volunteers can help to recruit on campus the day of the drive. Many of the donors will be first timers and it is our responsibility to make sure that they feel welcomed and comfortable to donate. Providing donors with a positive experience results in many repeat donors for next drives.
