Campus Fest Volunteering! This will be the first service event of the year for brothers as we will be tabling at Campus Fest to recruit prospective members into our service fraternity. Campus Fest will be at the Jarvis B Lot this year instead of the Furnas Lot, and we are highlighted with 7 other tables as part of a mini-event within Campus Fest called Civics & Service Spotlight, so we will be at the front of all the tables as well. Sign up to volunteer during the time- the actual tabling is from 4:30 PM- 7:30 PM but we will need help setting up and cleaning up so I am extending the hours of possible service hours to be from 4 PM - 8 PM that day. Please make a comment if you are available at a specific time so I can work out shifts. Shifts will be for 1-2 hour shifts depending on how many people sign up. Check in with VPS Sofia when you are there- she will have to leave at around 7:30 PM but email her a picture if she does not know you were there volunteering and have someone be able to vouch for you that you were there helping out. Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions :) Just as a reminder: PLEASE NOTIFY VPS Sofia Dong 48 hours in advance if you are not able to make it to the service event. If you notify her less than 48 hours in advance, you must find someone to replace your spot within 1 hour of the event starts to not receive any penalty. __________________ A little more information about the Civics & Service Spotlight event: Students at this event called Civics & Service Spotlight will be able to: - Get registered to vote before classes begin and learn about the 2025 local elections - Discover community & civic engagement and student organization opportunities focused on service - Spin the voter education trivia wheel for fun prizes - Enjoy lawn games, interactive activities, music, & giveaways We will be one of eight tables in this area, along with: - Community & Civic Engagement - League of Women Voters Buffalo/Niagara - Alpha Phi Omega - Circle K - Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) - Hillel of Buffalo - Jewish Student Union - UB Chapter of the Friends Committee on National Legislation
