Nurdle is a funny word for a plastic pellet that is a raw material in plastic manufacturing. Nurdles litter beaches, riverbanks, and shorelines and therefore are a contaminant to the environment. Animals may mistake them for food and humans may consume them when eating seafood, thus poisoning both animals and humans. We are tasked with cleaning up areas where nurdles are present. We will be doing this as a group and inputting data into an app so that Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper can keep track of progress and where nurdles are most present. Come join!!!
