The Commonwealth Center for Humanities and Society presents Leadership Series Talks In these talks, social and cultural leaders from Louisville will discuss how their organizations engage with important issues in our community. Speakers will share practical, real-world experiences and also demonstrate the relevance of the humanities, arts, and culture to contemporary society. Dean Otto Curator of Film at the Speed Art Museum Dean Otto is the founding Curator of Film at the Speed Art Museum launching the new film program in 2016. Since that time, he built a program focusing on building a stronger community through the presentation of film involving academic and community partnerships to share expertise and experiences. At the Speed, Otto has been developing engaging and diverse film programs that include art house films, co-presentations with area film festivals, community groups, and universities, films for children, as well as experimental cinema, and much more. Prior to his arrival at the Speed, Dean had been with the Walker Art Center for over 24 years.
