You can also contact the director of Volunteer Emory Weekly Service Trips, Genevieve Wilson at gewils2@emory.edu or 770-633-3739 if you have any questions. Want to walk dogs and play with cats but can't own one? Join us every Friday from 3:00pm-5:00pm on our trip to Lifeline Animal Project in Avondale Estates! Lifeline Animal Project is a no-kill shelter, which is great for giving all animals a chance. Consequently, they need help with the many animals they house. We help the staff there with various tasks like washing dirty towels/sheets, cleaning the cat rooms, organizing donations, walking dogs, and socializing cats. When they have events coming up, we help prepare materials for those as well. An informal orientation will be held on the first trip, but feel free to join us anytime afterward and we'll show you the ropes whenever you first join. There is no weekly commitment so you may pop in whenever you want. A volunteer waiver will have to be signed on-site. If you want to get involved in your free time, a separate official orientation is mandatory and you will have to sign up online at their website. The shelter is moving to a nicer facility in October, so stay tuned for more updates. Trip lead: Bryan Oh - bryan.oh@emory.edu
