Mill Creek Litter Removal- Caldwell Ballfield

Date: Nov 10, 2024 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Marjorie Book seeks volunteers to work alongside teens and adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities as we participate in this volunteer opportunity. Volunteers will receive guidance to assist people with disabilities with the tasks required, or simply work in pairs or small groups and converse while volunteering. The Mill Creek Trail is a multi-use walking and biking trail that runs in segments from Carthage to Northside. We will use reacher/grabber tools to pick up litter along the trail and prevent it from polluting the Mill Creek, Cincinnati’s urban stream that stretches from Butler County to the Ohio River. We don’t walk especially far during this service project, and so the activity level should be accessible to all. We’ll work rain, snow or shine and meet in the parking lot of the Caldwell Playground. Please dress for the weather. To help you, and our participants to get the most of the experience, volunteers are asked to read our volunteer handout prior to attending an event.
