A very large move to do Tuesday and Love Columbia could use quite a few volunteers. They are moving a family from one of their transitional homes to a place of their own. There is a lot of stuff, and it will likely take two truckloads, and possibly even some delivery to a storage facility. If anyone has a pick-up or van and is willing take some things to storage, they may ask them to do that while others load and unload the truck just to save time, if that is a possibility. Volunteers can go directly to the house at 208 St. Joseph Street, just behind/cattycorner to the Love Columbia offices. If it’s more convenient they can gather at our offices and walk over. There is parking available in the parking lot adjacent to the house. I don’t have the address we are moving to yet, but I think it is just north of the highway near the Columbia Mall. This is important to us because the board, grants and others use our statistics as a way of measuring the health of the organization when funding what we do. The only thing people might want to bring is a pair of gloves to work in if you have them, and be sure to wear closed-toe shoes (it is going to be a little chilly anyway)
