"INDIA - NITE" is a cultural extravaganza of exotic music, dance, and other creative performance with colorful costumes and ebullient expressions representing the multi-ethnic milieu of India. Our objectives include educating and showcasing Mizzou students and the community about different art forms and rich cultures of India, ranging from traditional and classical dances, Bollywood dances, Skits, Bands to Classical Indian music. It will also help our committee members to excel in leadership and managing skills. The fact that this event has been getting a full house (800+) audience in Jesse Hall Auditorium from campus and around town year after year for the past 27 years attests to its huge popularity. The show encourages many to join the group. Also, our organization gets invited to present at schools, colleges, healthcare facilities, etc. on various occasions. It also encourages students to explore India during breaks, make connections with similar interest people, and overall build a stronger Mizzou community of respect and support.
