They need a lot of help for this event! Please consider signing up! Below is how the preschool was described to me: *If you want to help out at this event, but this time doesn't work for you email me (Matt Bauer) at bauermd@health.missouri.edu or text me (636)375-6244. The event goes on all day so we can work something out. Nora Stewart is a wonderful not for profit in downtown Columbia. They serve the most “at-risk” families in our community by providing a safe and loving daycare while parents and guardians are away at work. They don’t have a large budget, they are one of our funded agencies and “The Mission Continues 1st Platoon-Columbia” has donated $3500 to them plus they are doing all of the labor for the project. The Mission Continuess is a wonderful small group of veterans who volunteer in the community. They need all of the help they can get with this incredibly generous gift to Nora Stewart. I love working with this group, they are warm, inviting, hard workers and care so much about the projects they work on. Your group would really enjoy spending their volunteer time on this project. What you will be doing during this event: We will be doing some of the following: ~~Patch work on the chain link fence that surrounds the property ~~Build a sand box ~~Build and paint outside wooden benches ~~Landscape areas in the front of the building ~~Possibly removing/relocating flag pole ~~Remove and redo large blacktop area
