Join UNLVolunteers as we build peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and lunch bags to hand out during the community lunch hour at the Salvation Army! Volunteers will participate in a short educational activity followed immediately by preparing lunch bags to hand out at the Salvation Army. After the program, we hope participants will take their involvement to the next level by seeking other ways to do service and seeking to provide long-term solutions to social inequalities such as food and housing insecurity. Volunteers will be required to wear gloves during the duration of the meal prep shift. Location: 1st Floor Eating Bar in the Student Union Schedule: 11:15 am - 12:30 pm: Meal Prep Volunteers will be given 1.5 hours for the sandwich shift.
