Volunteers are needed to pack 100 bags of food for local children at Shepherdstown Elementary and Middle School who have been identified as needing food assistance over the weeknds by school administrators. This ministry began in 2010 when the community became aware of hardships in many families that limited healthy meals over the weekends or on holidays when school is closed. Many local children are reliant on the hot meals served during the school day. School administrators, nurses, bus drivers and teachers help to distribute the bags of food discreetly.
