Immanuel's House is looking for volunteers to help with a clean up day at 9am on January 20, 2014. Immanuel's House is a Church in Martinsburg, ministering to those who are in need of help, are struggling in poverty, or are homeless. This clean up will help them toward their goals of opening the door for their day program to welcome and serve neighbors in need. Here are the tasks they are looking to accomplish: 1. a super duper cleaning of the kitchen, floor to ceiling inside and out. Some paint may be needed in there and we may be preparing for that as it is cleaned. 2. preparing the paneled walls for paint... the said and back paneling need to be sanded to rough up and then painted with kilz. 3. We may need to make a dump or goodwill run... there is stuff that needs to go. also... if we have skilled laborers... 4. The roof to the storage room is leaking and there is some rot. This requires someone with the skills. It may need to be torn off completely and replaced... 5. odd jobs: a broken window, a rotting threshold, and ??? We will be leaving from the student center at 8:30am!!!
