This is a Valentine’s Day party for Exceptional Getaway, a group of volunteers who organize monthly events for children with special needs. There will be pizza provided, a craft/activity, games, and fellowship. Beginning in 2004, Pediatric Occupational Therapists Lea Morgan and Alison Buchanan began the organization. This gives parents and caregivers a chance to go to the grocery, go on a date, or even just take a nap. Many of these parents are not able to hire babysitters as their kids have special needs.
