"These Hands Don't Hurt" rally is put on by Hope's Domestic Violence Shelter for domestic violence awareness month. My social work class is creating a march from the Keene Johnson building to the First United Methodist Church in downtown Richmond where the actually rally will be held. The walk will start promptly at 5:30, but there will be a speaker at 5:15 to talk about the topic. The walk will be less than a mile and should take no more than 30 minutes. There will be free t-shirts at the end of the march as well as other fundraisers hosted by the Shelter including a chili cook off. The march is the only event required for credit, but if you want to stay for the actual rally, you are more than welcome to.
