Serve lunch to local GR individuals/families; create memories while meeting new people! We will be serving a diverse population. Sensitivity to this is especially important. If a conflict arises with a guest, please refer to God's Kitchen staff. Schedule: 11AM - Arrival and sign-in organized by DAY 11AM - 12:30 - Meal prep: typically involves making a salad, bread and butter, and setting up the deli line 12:30 - 2PM - Meal service 2 - 2:30PM - Cleanup *Please bring a snack or plan to eat lunch before or after volunteering. Volunteers are welcome to light dessert and coffee before lunch service. Parking: Free parking is available at the lot behind Subway on Division and Wealthy. Metered parking is also available throughout the area -- and is free on weekends. Arrival: Arrive at the front doors on Division Ave S. and ring the bell (address is 303 Division Ave S. Grand Rapids, MI 49503). A volunteer or staff member will greet you and show you to the office to sign in and place your belongings. Dress Code: Please ensure that hair is pulled back and wear a hat. Close toed shoes are advised. Hair nets (if no hat) and aprons are provided. Send me a photo of you/group at the event so I know you attended.
