The Sustainability Initiative of Grand Valley is seeking 100 volunteers for the university's first zero waste football game. On Saturday October 20, the Lakers play Northwood and students are signing on to minimize the waste from this game. Volunteers will work in the parking lots and in the stadium to educate the fans while facilitating, sorting, and transporting as much recycling and composting as possible. If you or your organization are interested in making a difference by volunteering at this event, please e-mail Bart Bartels at bartelba@gvsu.edu.
