The goal of the event is to educate participants about the Civil Rights movement, as well as inspire them to engage in their communities by listening, learning, and advocating for social change on campus and beyond. This year GVSU faculty, staff, and students will come together for MLK Jr. Day of Service and Solidarity on Saturday, January 21st from 9am-3pm starting with an inspiring keynote presentation and followed by a brief service project with local community partners.
