In honor of Veterans Day, United Way sponsors and coordinates this initiative, which brings volunteers together to help local people and neighborhoods that need help with fall clean-up due to physical or financial limitations. Individuals, families, friends and groups are welcome to be a part of Rake-a-Difference. If you wish to rake as an individual or a team, contact Shannon LaHaie, director of volunteerism for the local United Way, email slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org.
