Hey brothers! Here is some info on this great event! If you are interested you need to email one of the two people at the bottom of the page, if you are uncomfortable with that then let Renee know and she will contact them for you! You need to be there the whole time! This is a great opportunity to help out the city (with T. Haas)!!! The City of Grand Rapids Mayor's Greening Initiative will be planting 300 trees in downtown Grand Rapids on Friday October 28th from 8am to 1pm. Volunteers need to be available during that whole time frame. President Haas will be joining the GVSU team 9:30am! The Initiative and its generous donors will provide all the tools, training, coffee, and transportation volunteers will need. All volunteers need to do is sign up, dress for the weather, and show up at 8am! The planting is open to any volunteer who is 18 years or older. Interested volunteers should email Rachel Skylis (rachel@friendsofgrparks.org) AND Melissa Baker-Boosamra (bakerbme@gvsu.edu) directly. BE SURE TO SPECIFY that you would like to be a part of the GVSU BELKNAP NEIGHBORHOOD TEAM at COIT and HASTINGS!
