A special committee of autism experts guided the GRCM in planning this event, including the unique spaces created for children to feel relaxed and at ease while they play and explore. Modifications to the GRCM include: · Large rolling shades will hang throughout the Museum to reduce noise and visual stimulation. · A music therapist will perform calming music and interact with children. · Special sensory activities will be added to the Museum’s current exhibit offerings. · Themed activity tents will be set out for children who wish to engage in individual play.
