Help out Alvis with one of their largest summer needs: Bras. Alvis is an organization we have closely worked with in the past, and they have asked this to be the focus of our drive. Alvis is a nonprofit human services agency with 50 years of experience providing highly effective treatment programs. Our lines of service include research-based, comprehensive reentry and family support programs; behavioral health and substance abuse treatment services; recovery housing for women and their children; and services to individuals with developmental disabilities who are trying to live more independently in the community. The bra need is for Alvis's Amethyst program, which supports women in recovery. "When women come to us, they typically have very little as far as basic needs go. They may only have a few clothing items and do not have the means to purchase brand new items themselves. Amethyst serves women in recovery from addiction and mental health concerns - usually co-occurring, and in conjunction with extensive trauma. It's one of our most unique programs, because at Amethyst, moms who have children can actually bring their children to live with them while they are in our long-term treatment program." This is a large need, and they very much need our support. (pun intended, do u get it because bras r for support) Sizes 32-44 DD or DDD are needed, as well as traditional A, B, C and D’s - NEW Bras: 2.5 service hours per bra (this is a huge need) U can gain a max of 5 service hours from this event! Additionally, because we love Alvis and their programs, please feel free to donate other items for 0.5 service hour each - Personal care items containing no aerosols/alcohol like deodorant, body wash, lotion, hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, tampons, pads - Accessories/ New clothing items like gloves, leggings, socks, t-shirts, undergarments - Miscellaneous items like gift cards, stamps, stress balls, travel lint rollers, writing utensils, etc. Have a question about what you can donate?
