SIGN UP ON THEIR WEBSITE: https://metroparks.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=727206 Description Community members of all ages, accessibility levels, and backgrounds will join us at various sites throughout Five Rivers MetroParks to help us help protect the region’s natural heritage, clean up our parks and prepare for the winter season at this year’s annual Make a Difference Day volunteer service event. Impact Protecting open space and natural areas is a priority for Five Rivers MetroParks, which protects nearly 16,000 acres of land — 90 percent of it in its natural state. Natural areas in MetroParks are managed so that habitat for plants and wildlife takes precedence. Volunteers support a variety of impactful habitat restoration projects. Tasks Under the supervision of the assigned staff, volunteers will support and assist with the following: Planting an assortment of native species in a 120 foot bed south of the main parking lot.
