Danny, a rising-senior University of Dayton pre-med honors student, was canoeing with his friends Memorial Day weekend when he fell into shallow water, causing severe trauma to his cervical spine. After spending 10 days in the ICU and having numerous surgeries, Danny passed on June 5. Danny's fiancée, Carol Harper, has been a good friend of mine at UD since 1st semester freshman year. The 5K starts at 10am, so make sure to arrive about 20minutes prior in order to register and stretch!
