The Daniel P. Arnold Memorial Scholarship 5K is a run held each fall by the Honors Program in memory of the outstanding Honors premed major lost tragically in the summer of 2012. The Danny 5K was created by family and friends to establish a scholarship fund in support of future students. The run this year takes place on September 23rd. For those who want to run, check-in starts at 8:30 am by the recplex bottom entrance, and the run officially begins at 10:00 am. All are welcome: the cost for UD runners is $15, and the cost for runners not UD students is $20 for adults and $12 for kids. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. Flyer Express is also accepted with an extra $1.00 fee. Volunteers would also be greatly appreciated, and roles for volunteers range in activities and include numerous short time slots from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. As of now, we have plenty of people to set up and check in. We are still looking for volunteers for later in the morning to help hold direction signs and to help clean up after the run!!
