Join us for the 2012 Project Congo 5K and Awareness Event!! Project Congo is an organization started in 2008 by a Dayton ER doctor to raise funds for life-saving medical equipment and supplies for Don Bosco Ngangi orphanage and refugee center, in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. Come run, walk, skip, hop, or jump with us to raise awareness to the war and humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Invite everyone you know to support this wonderful cause! We will help with setting up, registration, cheering on the runners, clean-up, and anywhere else we are needed. Sylvia, the ER doc and founder, said “With a lot of volunteers, we can really make our runners feel pampered and like they’re making a difference.” You will need to meet in P-lot at 7:00 on the day of this event.
