These banners will be made of wet and needle felted wool. In acknowledgement that this period of preparation and waiting is both personal and communal, we are inviting community participation in the creation of these banners. Join in a communal felting workshop where members of the UD and Dayton community can come together to contemplate the meaning of advent while felting small handheld pieces that will become the building blocks of five liturgical banners. There is no prior experience necessary! We will teach you how to create the oldest, non-woven fabric known to mankind and you will be contributing significantly to the beauty of UD’s chapel.
